Highlights
- Departing from Archerfield, your journey begins with a smooth climb as the cityscape gives way to the stunning waterways of Southern Moreton Bay.
- Track toward Jumpinpin, the narrow channel where North Stradbroke Island and South Stradbroke Island meet. Famous for its shifting sands, crystal-clear waters, and incredible marine life activity.
- Continue north along the coastline of North Stradbroke Island, taking in sweeping ocean views before arriving at the iconic Point Lookout Lighthouse. Perched on the cliffs, this is one of the best land-based whale-watching spots in Australia during the migration season.
- From there, cross the open waters to Moreton Island, the world’s third-largest sand island. Circle the historic Tangalooma Wrecks—sunken ships that now create a vibrant artificial reef, easily visible through the clear, shallow waters.
- Over shallow coastal waters, it’s possible (depending on conditions) to spot marine life like turtles, dolphins, rays, dugongs and even migrating whales at the right season.
- Follow the untouched eastern coastline of Moreton Island, where towering sand dunes meet the deep blue of the Pacific Ocean—an incredible contrast only visible from the air.
- Turning back toward the mainland, pass over the Kooringal Oyster Farm, a unique and thriving pocket of aquaculture nestled within the bay. Fly over Peel Island, rich in history and surrounded by turquoise shallows, before making your way back toward Archerfield with unforgettable views of Moreton Bay below.
- Our curated historical commentary for one of Australia's first cities will leave you with new appreciation of spectacular Brisbane.

Highly Recommend! My partner and I did the Brisbane scenic tour with [Brisbane] Heli for a 25 minute ride and it was a great experience! The pilot was wonderful and very informative! Even when we couldn't enter Brisbane City he found us alternative sites to see and did his best to accommodate us. Accommodating to their customers is definitely a common theme for [Brisbane] Heli’s as even Jess who was the main administrator I spoke with originally got us the date and time I needed for the birthday surprise to happen. She was so helpful and I couldn’t recommend this company enough! 10/10 experience but most importantly 10/10 staff!
we had an awesome time with my sister and my small child- we were able to fly down to the Gold Coast on Australia Day, and back north along the beach & water! It was amazing how fast we could get down there, and we had the best view... sure beats the traffic on the motorway! Can’t wait to do it again!
